Introduction

This scheme was launched in the
    year 1984-1985 to support the orphan girls for getting married. In the year
    1999 the scheme was named as Annai Therasa Ninaivu marriage assistance
    scheme for orphan girls. The financial assistance was increased from
    Rs.1000/- to Rs.20, 000/- gradually under this scheme. |  |

The scheme was initiated in the

Rs.20,000 is provided in the
    form of cheque or demand draft as assistance under this scheme. |  |

The criteria for availing the
    benefits under this scheme are: 
1.         
    The
    annual income of the beneficiary should not exceed Rs.24,000. 
2.         
    The
    minimum age limit of beneficiary should be 18 years and should not exceed

The application has to be sent
    45 days before the marriage takes place. |  |

    Certificate
    showing that the applicant is an orphan.

    Income
    certificate of the applicant/guardian.

From the date of receipt of
    applications, it will be processed within 15 days. |  |
