Annai Therasa Ninaivu Marriage Assistance Scheme For
Orphan Girls
Introduction
This scheme was launched in the
year 1984-1985 to support the orphan girls for getting married. In the year
1999 the scheme was named as Annai Therasa Ninaivu marriage assistance
scheme for orphan girls. The financial assistance was increased from
Rs.1000/- to Rs.20, 000/- gradually under this scheme.

Rs.20,000 is provided in the
form of cheque or demand draft as assistance under this scheme.

scheme?
The criteria for availing the
benefits under this scheme are:

The
annual income of the beneficiary should not exceed Rs.24,000.
2.
The
minimum age limit of beneficiary should be 18 years and should not exceed
30 years.

The orphan girls are
beneficiaries under this scheme.

allocated for this scheme?
For the year 2010-2011 Rs.105.09
Lakh has been allocated in the budget for the beneficiaries under this
scheme.

What is the time limit for sending the application?
The application has to be sent
45 days before the marriage takes place.

What are the certificates to be enclosed while sending the
application for availing the scheme?
The following certificates to be
enclosed while sending the application:

Certificate
showing that the applicant is an orphan.
2.
Income
certificate of the applicant/guardian.
3.
Date
of birth certificate of the applicant.

What is the estimated time limit for the process of
applications?
From the date of receipt of
applications, it will be processed within 15 days.
